Bethany now weighs in at slightly over 6 pounds. She is a normal baby now which means she has no problem letting us know when she needs something. She lets us know via her 135 decibel level voice.
Older Information Our world was blessed with the appearance of Bethany Grace Bluestein at 1325 on 8 March. She was born at 27 weeks so she was approximately 12 weeks premature. Below are some photos of Bethany's home for the last several weeks. As of the 24th of April she is up to a bulky 3 pounds and about 4 or 5 ounces. She gains some days and some she remains the same. She is progressing very nicely and we look forward to bringing her home in mid-May. UPDATE Bethany is now in a open crib (as opposed to being in a heated incubator). She has to be able to maintain her body temperature AND gain weight on her own before the hospital will release her. She is doing very well and we hope she will be coming home this week (5/15 or so). NEWER UPDATE! Bethany came home Tuesday night! It was a surprise but now she is where she belongs. She came complete with an apnea monitor that we'll have over the next few weeks.
